Checklists — the ultimate tool for Airbnb cleaning and organization

Checklists may be either a distraction for some or an ally for others since cleaning and organizing an Airbnb requires vast attention to detail. Checklists help to facilitate our work by creating guidelines to follow and ensure we do not forget important details. For many, following instructions from a checklist may seem unnecessary and time-consuming. But as a professional co-host, I can assure you that checklists have value if we know how to use them since by following all of the to-do’s and guidelines, we could hardly forget our responsibilities and thus can avoid negative guest reviews or reports from the owner and host, affecting the image of the property. Know that the cleaning staff plays an essential role in the vacation rental market, such as in Airbnb and hotels, and that while cleaning as a co-host, I, too, even if committing to memory of all of my responsibilities, have created my checklist where I include, little by little, every one of my duties, guidelines, and to-do’s that I must follow when performing my work. Also, my checklist always contains additional demands than what my clients require. I always try to give the best of myself, and it has become pleasant to incorporate small details that make a difference and satisfy my clients. So, do not forget to clean the coffee pot, place bags inside the cupboard, replace the near-finished toilet paper with a new roll, and report all objects or items that are damaged or lost by creating your personalized checklist, which is a small part of what you can do to help keep your property clean and clients and guests happy in a simple and fast way.
